In the 2024 edition of Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime’s 24-hour Conference on Global Organised Crime, the research team behind GI-TOC’s SOC ACE-supported research project, ‘Negotiating with criminal groups: Colombia’s Total Peace Policy’ delivered a panel on Peace negotiations with organised crime: The case of Medellín, Colombia. The panel, which you can watch and listen to here, discusses the implementation of the Total Peace Policy in Medellín, through the case study issue of homicide rates in the city.
