SOC ACE researchers take part in the CEEISA-ISA Joint Conference ‘Knowing the global-local: Imagining pasts, debating futures’
This June, SOC ACE researchers will participate in a roundtable on ‘Illicit Finance, Transnational Corruption, and Informal Economies in Contemporary Conflict’ at the Central and Eastern European Schools Association - International Studies Association (CEEISA-ISA) Joint Conference: ‘Knowing the Global-Local: Imagining Pasts, Debating Futures.’
Dr. Tena Prelec (University of Rijeka & LSE) will chair the roundtable, joined by Dr. David G. Lewis (University of Exeter), John D. Heathershaw (University of Exeter), Ivor Sokolić (University of Hertfordshire), Rafał Lisiakiewicz (Cracow University of Economics), Daniela Lai (Royal Holloway, University of London), and Olivia Allison (Royal United Services Institute (RUSI)).
Dr. Prelec will chair roundtables on advancing IR and political science in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as tensions in the Balkans. For the full programme, see here.
Additionally, Dr. Tena Prelec is on the organising committee for the CEEISA Young Scholars Initiative (CYSI) mentoring scheme, designed for self-defined early career scholars and organised by the CEEISA Doctoral Network. Following the conference, a writing retreat will be held at the Moise Palace on the nearby island of Cres.
The CEESA-ISA Joint International Conference 2024 takes place in Rijeka, Croatia, from June 18th – June 21st, 2024.
